Admission Guidelines – Buds Public School

Please note that filling in the registration form does not guarantee admission.

  • Document Accuracy:

Please ensure the student's name, date of birth, and place of birth on all application forms match their passport exactly.

  • Age Requirement for KG 1:

To join our KG 1 program, children must be four years of age on or before March 31st of the current academic year.

  • Age Considerations for Higher Grades:

We adhere to age guidelines set by the Ministry of Education. For students applying to Grades 2 to 4 from recognized schools, a limited age concession may be considered, subject to prior approval from the KHDA or MOE.

  • Admission Process for KG 2 to Grade 9:

Admission for these grades is confirmed through a holistic assessment, which includes:

    • Performance on an eligibility test.
    • An interview with the Principal.
    • The submission of a valid Transfer or School Leaving Certificate, showing promotion to the next grade. Final confirmation is always subject to seat availability.
  • Final Authorization:

All admissions are provisional until final approval is granted by the relevant educational authorities (Ministry of Education/KHDA).

  • Required Registration:

To secure enrolment, parents must complete the KHDA student registration and sign the official Parent-School Contract.

  • Health & Wellness Priority:

For the safety of our community, students may only begin classes after the school's Medical Team has received a clear photocopy of a valid health card and the original vaccination record.

  • Inclusion

    • For diagnosed Students on Determination, all relevant medical/psychological reports and previous school records at the time of admission.
    • The Inclusion Team may conduct an assessment or interaction to understand the student’s individual needs.
    • The school will make every effort to accommodate Students of Determination, in line with its capacity to provide appropriate support and resources.
